The same clear, removable aligners that adult orthodontic patients are so fond of, are also available for teens! Many teens have a lot of anxiety concerning braces because of the effect it may have on their self-esteem. Having metal work placed on their teeth often makes worried about other’s reactions at school, causing them to hide away their beautiful smiles.

Invisalign Teen provides a perfect solution. The virtually invisible aligners work to stimulate the movement of  your child’s teeth the same way as traditional braces. Furthermore, there are no longer limitations on what they can and cannot eat, so long as they remember to remove the aligners before consumption and brush right after.

So How Does Invisalign Teen Work?

Clear Orthodontic Aligners VideoThe Invisalign system is a set of aligners set to last for about two weeks each. We recommend that you schedule regular orthodontic visits about every 8-10 weeks. Although treatment time may vary, the average lies between 6-15 months. Invisalign Teen has an additional Blue Dot Wear that indicates to you and your child when it is time to move on to the next set of aligners.

Will Invisalign Work For Every Condition?

Unfortunately not. Although Invisalign can treat a number of bad bites, it is not for everyone. The severity of the malocclusion will determine if another orthodontic appliance is needed.
