Orthodontic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery or orthognathic surgery, is a procedure that corrects abnormalities of the jaws and teeth. Most patients will find themselves going to the orthodontist to straighten their teeth or enhance their bite, but a handful of patients have to correct their bite by aligning their jaw properly.
